Modalities include: Sports, Remedial, Deep-tissue, Relaxation, Prenatal, Lymphatic, Nadiswed, Katibasti, Snehana, Shirodhara, and Marma point therapy massage - most of which can be enjoyed in 30-120 minute increments.
A description of one modality: Nadiswedana (or Nadi for short) is a localised herbal steam treatment aimed at decongesting stagnant blood around lymph nodes of the spine, limbs and lower back. It mobilises accumulations in the lymphatic system, and is exceptional for dispersing aches and stiffness in the spine and connective tissue. This is a highly de-toxifying, soothing and remedial massage all in one. People walk away from this treatment feeling amazed!
For the discerning athlete, the goal of treatment is to attain a level of suppleness within the connective tissues. Suppleness is key in good recovery, injury prevention, fluidity, improved circulation & technique which in-turn creates greater efficiency. This equates to better results in any given discipline, & is another reason why regular massage is a go-to among professional athletes since it’s inception to this very day.
“Oils ain’t Oils” - as the ancients have found (& more recently modern science), whatever is applied onto your skin is also absorbed into the body. This is a fundamental reason for using the finest oils available for your treatment. It is also an opportunity to get the different medicinal properties of herbs into the tissues. The oils chosen are actually purified and infused with herbs by hand. The type of oil will vary according to your needs and/or the treatment. Additionally, a quality oil has a greater absorption rate, is easier to work with, works faster and has a definite edge over other oils.
Looking forward to meeting you.
